For a rollator on prescription, people with statutory insurance pay a co-payment (Zuzahlung) of 10% of the insurer's price, at least €5 and at most €10 per prescription. Children and young people under 18, and insured people who have reached their individual annual limit (Belastungsgrenze), are exempt.

If you choose a higher-value model such as the Trionic Veloped or Walker, the economic top-up (wirtschaftliche Aufzahlung) is added on top — the difference between the standard model and your chosen model. You bear these extra costs yourself; they do not count toward the Belastungsgrenze.
