How do you replace the brake cable on the Trionic Veloped?
You can replace a worn or stretched brake cable on the Trionic Veloped yourself: loosen the handlebar on one side, take off the wheel and brake cover, unhook the old cable at both ends, thread the new cable through the brake lever and brake, refit the wheel, then test and fine-tune the brake with an 8 mm wrench. The video and full steps are below.

Veloped brake cable replacement video
- loosen the screw on the handle
- loosen the screw on the brake lever
- open the screws that hold the handlebar (Easiest to change on one side at a time)
- pull the grab bar forward on the side you loosened and then pull off the handle and brake lever
- remove the wheel
- remove the brake cover
- remove the wire from the brake
- remove the wire from the brake lever
- Mount the wire on the brake handle and thread on the brake handle on the handlebar, and press the handle and attach it to the frame
- mount the wire in the brake and then mount on the brake protection cover
- attach the wheel
- Attach the handle and brake lever
- test the brake and adjust it if necessary, this is done on the part that protrudes from the brake cover. Screw on it with an 8mm wrench to the desired result
