Hello! How can we help you?

Why Do the Veloped Models Have Different Weights?

The difference in weight between the Veloped models is due to the textile components, not the mechanical parts.

All Veloped models use the same aluminium frame, the same wheel system and the same braking system. These parts are identical across the range.

In 2017, the frame was redesigned and improved. The updated frame reduced the overall weight while maintaining the same strength and stability. All models produced after this change benefit from the lower frame weight.

The remaining weight differences between models are caused by variations in textiles, such as seat fabrics, baskets and bags. Models with more extensive textile equipment weigh slightly more. Models with less textile material weigh slightly less.

The frame, wheels and brakes are the same on all models. The textiles account for the weight difference.
