Safety

  • Both brakes should be locked in parking mode before you use the seat.
  • Before you start walking with the Walker, make sure it’s completely unfolded.
  • Be extra careful in steep terrain and on slanting ground.
  • The stability of the Veloped is tested with a basket load of 5 kg. If you load additional weight to the basket, make sure to distribute the weight evenly in the basket.

First Time Use

1. To unfold the Walker, pull the two hand grips away from each other.

2. Grab the right grip with your right hand and lift the right front- and right rear wheel off the ground. With the right wheels lifted, lock the Walker in Walking mode by pressing the left rear corner of the seat distinctly downwards. You should hear a “click” when the Walker locks into walking mode.

3. Before using the walker, make sure that the unfolding mechanism has locked securely in place.

NOTE: It is important that you lift the right wheels off the ground, so that the right front wheel freely can turn into its aligned position.

4. Open the quick-release levers and adjust the grip height as described on page 7 in the chapter “Grip Height Adjustment”.

Motion Brake

Motion Brake

To operate the motion brake, pull the brake lever upwards. Brake with both levers at the same time.

Parking Brake

You can engage the parking brake in 3 different ways.

Option 1: Push the lower red parking trigger downwards with your index finger, while you pull the brake lever at the same time. Make sure that the parking brake is engaged, and that the Veloped does not move.

Option 2: Pull the upper red parking trigger rearwards with your thumb, while you pull the brake lever at the same time. Make sure that the parking brake is engaged.

Option 3: Use both hands. Pull the upper red parking trigger rearwards with one hand, while you pull the brake lever with your other hand. Make sure that the parking brake is engaged.

To release the parking brake, brake in the same manner as for using the motion brake.

Grip Height Adjustment

1. Release the quick-release lever positioned just above the seat by folding it outwards horizontally.

2. Slide the hand grip up-/downwards to your preferred grip height.

3. Lock the hand grip at the chosen height by folding the quick-release lever to its closed position.

NOTE: Do not operate the quick-release levers like wing nuts or screws.

Grip Angle Adjustment

The angle of the grips can be adjusted so that you get a comfortable hand position and an optimal support.

1. Loosen the screw on the rear end of the grip with a 4 mm Allen key.

2. Turn/rotate the grip to your chosen angle, and lock it in place by tightening the screw again.

Folding the Rollator

1. Grab the seat handle and pull it upwards and the Walker will start folding.

2.Grab the right grip with your right hand and lift the right front- and right rear wheel off the ground.

NOTE! Always engage both parking brakes before you use the seat.

Detaching the Front Wheels

1. Open the quick-release on the front wheel by folding it outwards.

2. Unscrew the nut on the inside of the fork a bit, so that the wheel can be detached from the fork.

3. Remove the front wheel from the fork.

4. NOTE: Do not operate the quick-release levers like wing nuts or screws.

Attaching the Front Wheels

1. Enter the front wheel into the fork, with the quick-release lever positioned on the outside of the Walker.

2. Tighten the nut on the inside of the fork, so that the quick-release gets correctly tensioned when closed.

3. Close the quick-release on the front wheel by folding it inwards. Make sure that the quick-release lever is correctly closed, preferably in a position behind the fork when seen in the traveling direction of the Walker.

4. NOTE: Do not operate the quick-release levers like wing nuts or screws.

Removing/Installing the Rear Wheels

1. To detach the wheel, press the black button at the centre of the wheel and pull the wheel off.

2. To attach the wheel, press the black button at the centre of the wheel and push the wheel axle into the axle hole. Release the button when the axle is in its end position.

3. Hold the tire and push/pull the wheel back and forth laterally to check if the wheel is properly secured.

Brake Adjustment

1. If the brakes work poorly, loosen the adjustment screw on each brake lever (counter-clockwise) and lock it in position by screwing the lock-nut towards the handle (clockwise).

Contact your retailer, or the person responsible for servicing your Trionic Walker, if the brakes still work poorly.

Joachim Hoffmann
A very stable rollator
Thanks to its large pneumatic tyres, the Walker helps me to get easily over the cobblestones on the streets and pavements in my neighbourhood, Niederschönhausen (Berlin-Pankow). And other unevenness are also well cushioned.

Finally a rollator for tall people like me with handles that can be adjusted much higher!

The walker is of high quality and very well designed but I do find it heavy and my steep drive from the front of the house and hills that surround me (all roads) require quite a bit of effort. I do wish it was made from a lighter material. I am 5ft 6ins tall and find the frame a little too big but I will get used to it.
The seat is a little high for me ( I have short legs).
I am 90 now and time will tell how I see it it in a few years time. Brian Hunter

Many thanks for all the help and to a superb walker!
Hi Trionic!
I am super happy with my walker which I picked up in your showroom in Sweden !! Suddenly I could walk almost normally with it. Fantastic!
Tested myself to different settings when I drove up in Gysinge (Sweden) on lawns and footpaths and noted later in your excellent manual that you do not mention that you can angle the handles outwards at the same time as you raise/lower. I angled mine a bit outward and got a better angle for my wrists and could walk closer to the walker and walk more upright. This will help me tremendously in my future rehabilitation.
Many thanks for all the help and to a superb walker!
Best regards
Eva

This stroller fits that bill.
I am six feet tall and no lightweight so I was looking for something that would allow me to walk upright and be sturdy enough to support me ( I have a knee which gives way at any time). This stroller fits that bill.
I had to get used to it as previously I had used a pushalong shopping trolley which meant I was in the habit of bending and pushing. So I had to learn not to push and to stroll easily.
I set the handle on the highest setting and this helps my posture.

I am glad I ordered the back rest as this enables me to sit for long periods and feel relaxed.
The 14" wheels ensure that all surfaces are comfortably dealt with.

The instructions give a suggested tyre pressure but as there is no guage on the pump I just blow them up until they are firm. I don't think the pressure is as important as it would be for a bicycle as there is no downward pressure when moving.

The folding mechanism is quick and easy.
I have encountered difficulty at times when moving onto a deep kerb.
I must give 5 stars as there are no faults with it and it is a joy to use. I can get about again. Hooray!
Christoph Herfarth
Very good
The Walker 14er helps me a lot (balance disorder due to ataxia). Apart from the large tyres, which make it easier to overcome obstacles, I particularly like the flexible suspensions of the wheels on the left and right, which decisively improve the ground contact of all four wheels. The only thing I would like to see is a further improvement of the brakes (although I don't know of any model that offers this): the synchronisation of the left and right brakes to prevent the walker from breaking due to one-sided braking (this exists in the bicycle industry for so-called trikes) and the use of V-brakes (again in the bicycle industry) to be able to better dose the braking power of the brakes.
Hans-Joachim Paerschke
Very good rollator
Has proven itself in many situations on a wide variety of surfaces.
The large pneumatic tyres give a good driving experience and it is comfortable for the hands.
The only thing we would still miss is a lock when you fold the rollator and want to store it in the car, so that it doesn't unfold so quickly again.

Streets paved with old cobblestones
My husband had fallen a few times in the last few months, but he still refused to use a rollator. That's why I looked around for a better one than the ones usually offered in German medical shops. I found the Walker and suggested it to my husband. He still didn't want it! When he fell again, I ordered the Walker online and told my husband I had bought it for myself. The delivery was prompt and I was able to take the Walker out of the packaging and use it straight away. I used it for shopping and for walking our little dog. My husband then showed more and more interest and now it is his rollator. It helps to get around safely in everyday life and when travelling, especially on uneven paths. We live in Regensburg, there are beautiful old cobblestones, the walker runs over them very smoothly.
Rudolf Schumacher
It is worth its (high) price!
I have been using the Walker 14 for about 2 months.
I am very satisfied with the flawless workmanship and the many possible adjustments. I have now covered around 150 km up and down the trails and fields, every day and in all weathers. The brakes are a bit too tight, they sometimes lock too quickly. I am very enthusiastic about the rectifier for the front wheels, which always prevent the wheels from wobbling. The basket could be a bit bigger; my shopping doesn't quite fit in at times. Loading it into the boot of my car (VW Golf Sportsvan) works well, if I put one seat of the backrest forward, I don't even need to remove the wheels.
Altogether: Every day I am happy to go out walking again with the Walker 14 and I would like to praise the team of technicians!
Dr. Rudolf Schumacher from Ratingen-Hösel.
Tina James
Really helps me to get about outdoors.
The only drawback is it is difficult for me to lock the seat in position. My husband has to do it for me. Without him, I would have to always have it set up and not folded.
Heinfried Mauderer
Hello (Tjänare!). I am very satisfied
Very well constructed! Manoeuvrable, good for off-road use, easy to put in the car. Only favourable weather can't be arranged, but spring is coming.
Many greetings!

A rollator for life
A rollator for life. I found it for my daughter. It's called Walker 14 and it's impressive, big tires, not wheels!
The one that circumnavigates all cliffs, came to my mind immediately.
But it also has room for all that solidity and precise tinkering, the provision of security.
When she was still very small, my daughter, we already had a family car with noticeable family ties to our new rollator, name: I ROLLE, P245 Even back then we suspected this or that troll as a stimulant.

Stay as good as you can, your Lauther family

The order was delivered fast and correctly, works as described. THANK YOU!!
Hi, My Trionic has given me support and good traction even in the snowy climate in Luleå, Norrbotten and in a way that Mr. Counsil never has been able to or was intended to do.
For me, Trionic is absolutely necessary for my rehabilitation when it comes to improving my walking and better fitness, it also helps me maintain my social contacts since it keeps me mobile even during the half year of winter, which is important up here in the north.
Thank you for this !!
Eleonore Braack
Works wonderfully
I am writing this review for my 95-year-old mother.
The Walker has significantly increased her mobility. Previously, she had considerable problems with the old cobblestones and unpaved paths in Lübeck. Now with her Walker, she can visit us again. Together we were even able to take a walk on the beach.
Steven Mark
New life
Bought this for my husband with Parkinson’s who had lost confidence with walking. Now wants to go out for a walk daily, and feels safe. The quality of the product is excellent. Delivery was excellent and only had to lift it out of the box, open it up and off we went. We haven’t had any problems with uneven ground, nowhere has been out of bounds. Would recommend this company and its products to anyone with any mobility issues.
John Allsop
John
I bought this walker for my wife. Now thanks to the design with inflated tyres all the jarring in her hands and arms has now gone and it is now nice to go for a walk.
Uwe Zeh
The good helper
The description on the website is completely fulfilled. I use the rollator at the seaside and on unpaved paths (parkland, forest). I have walked on the beach and on trails.

The tyres have helped me walk safely and comfortably everywhere, even on deep sand.
The brakes are very good and always have grip. I would have a suggestion to improve the handling.

Where I live, I often have to go downhill. It would be helpful if the brakes had something like a two-point adjustment so that you don't have to go downhill with the brakes on all the time.

Otherwise, I am very satisfied and congratulate myself on having bought the Walker.
Andreas Brandes
The best rollator on the market
The best rollator on the market, I recognized it while walking, then informed myself and bought a Walker 14er. Never again another rollator, simply unique!
Dave Gray
Confidence
The Trionic 14er has enabled my wife to make great progress in her rehabilitation following a stroke. She has confidence in its stability and steering and this has given her the confidence to get out and walk. Worth the investment without reserve.
Kate Bunch
I am extremely happy with my 'Terminator', thank you.
As you may remember I needed to adapt it to have forearm rests instead of handles and found the charity organisation 'Remap' here in the UK who were able to take the forearm rests from an old rollator (an indoor Topro) and put them on my lovely new Trionic.

I have to tell you that now when I'm out and about I will usually laugh out loud at some point with the joy it brings me. I would often get neck and shoulder pain after using my old outdoor rollator but with the Trionic I haven't had any problems yet. I am also able to run with it and must surely look ridiculous bombing down country lanes and moor tracks and having a good laugh! Luckily I don't see many people but when I do I am always asked about the rollator and I must have recommended you to at least 20 people and counting.

I would love to leave you a glowing review, can you use the above or should I do it separately without mentioning the adaptation?

I am 51yrs old and have so far declined the surgical operation to straighten my spine as I'm too scared of the whole thing but using this rollator has honestly transformed my outlook of defeat into one of achievement by giving me a very real sense of physical freedom that I have been mourning the loss of for many years.

My old rollator, which I also loved, sadly became the cause of some of my pain but this Trionic is truly in a league of its own with regards to comfort and I simply can't recommend it enough!

It's very easy for me to wax lyrical about my extremely positive experience but please use any or all of the above to add to my review if you'd like to.

Please find attached some photos of the adapted rollator and where I've been already.

All the best to you both and your team.
Lesley Watkins
Absolutely love my new Trionic 4 wheel…
It’s so easy to walk with, the 14inch wheels are great for the smaller curbs.
I like the way that the two front wheels are always together, it makes a huge difference.
I would certainly recommend this product.

The customer service I received was spot on, all of my questions were met with solid answers, no fluffy sakes talk! Which I really appreciate. They explained after talking the best they thought was for my current needs!
Penelope Goolden
I have christen her Ingrid
She is much admired particularly by me. She offers so much more stability over sticks, beautifully designed and made, the only thing I have added is a strap to clamp her together when manoeuvring in and out of the car. Looking at the brochure I was worried that she might be heavy but that is not the case I can easily lift her in and out of the car.

Excellent product both in design and use.
Mr Hale
Feel safe and Balanced
Feel safe and Balanced with this product. Love all the adjustability, and the walker has been admired and asked about and has passed on my experience.
Michael Cooper
Excellent well engineered product
I am tall and the Walker 14er gives me much more stability and confidence when walking.
Much more stable when working on uneven ground. Whilst more expensive than other products, it is a much superior product.
I would recommend to anyone considering purchasing a Rollator.
The only reservation is that because of the enhanced engineering it does weigh more.

Walker 14er Happiness
I bought the Walker 14er for my husband (who didn’t think his mobility was bad enough to warrant a walking aid. However, I thought differently.) After using it for less than five minutes he absolutely loved it and it’s changed his mobility completely. I wanted a Trionic so we could go to the places that we hadn’t been to for years - beaches/woodland, etc. When using his walking stick we’d walk for about ten minutes and then he’d want to go back to the car. Not any more! Our first major trip with the 14er was to take it to Jersey in the Channel Islands, on our annual holiday. He was able to walk freely on the beaches for so much longer than he used to, knowing he could sit down whenever he wanted. It was also easy to take on the island’s buses meaning we could explore Jersey without me worrying if our walks would be too long and where he could rest. My husband walks much faster and with a much better posture than he ever did when using his walking stick. We are both so thrilled with our Trionic - it’s improved both our lives!

Finally, a walker that is not unstable
Finally, a walker that is not unstable, that does not create problems on the ruined sidewalk of the city, and that moves safely even on forest paths. My wife changed her skepticism into amazement, then into joy and pleasure to move. The opinion of our physiotherapist that “you can no longer walk with a walker” has not become true. We are only sorry that this “Mercedes” among walkers is not within the reach of many.

All round brilliant machine and super efficient people to advise.
The Trionic 14er has made such a difference to my life. I pulled it out of the box and set off for a walk: down the slab path, and shallow steps, over the rough gravel drive, along the road and back to my door. The Trionic 14er is effortless to move.

In the house, I use an ordinary rollator and that takes more effort to manoeuvre than the Trionic 14er does outdoors. The 14er moves easily over rough ground and grass, the pneumatic tyres make a huge difference. Walk then rest on the seat when needed.
Walking is so much easier with the support of the sturdy frame and sprung tyres, there is no jolting, to stress shoulders.

I noticed even after a few days I am walking straighter when before I was stooped.
I thoroughly recommend the benefits of a Trionic 14er. It is big but it will pack into the car for further afield.

I cannot praise the people at Trionics highly enough for their efficiency both in answering questions and organising delivery so promptly; from Uppsala to Orkney in a matter of days.

And lastly, to help you exercise safely, as you walk, there is a fitness programme. All-round brilliant!

Absolutely recommended
My physiotherapist said: it is like a Porsche! And I can only agree with his opinion.

The rollator is not only elegant but also extremely reliable; I have a secure grip even on bumpy paths, even in snow it gave me good security. The brakes work perfectly and instantly. Longer distances are no longer a problem for me. I feel very comfortable with this rollator, it looks sporty but is discreet at the same time. The delivery went smoothly and in just three days the walker was well packed at my door. The slightly higher price is completely reasonable.

It shines on all Terrains
Despite Corona! Ordered on Monday (June 22nd, 2020) in Uppsala, and on Friday (June 26th, 2020), my 14-inch Trionic Walker was at my doorstep. Also, thanks to the excellent logistics from UPS.

In the meantime, I have truly tested the Trionic Walker despite my handicap over short distances, on all different terrains. And the walker really masters every obstacle! It thoroughly deserves the name "Terminator" and fulfills every promise on the web page.

A small drawback for me is the lack of locking when folded. When loading into my car, the walker opens again, which makes handling difficult for me. It helps with a belt. However, the development team at Trionic should come up with a more elegant solution. The manufacturer of my previous rollator had a simple but effective device in this regard.

Real quality of life improvement
This rollator is infinitely better designed and made than my previous one, and well worth the much higher price...

I can use it on uneven ground for walks on fields and river banks, and I am finding I take bigger steps and stand more upright, thus I am walking much faster!
I haven’t had a chance to use it in a town yet, but I’m confident it will perform well on cobbles and setts, etc.

Very satisfied so far.

It’s a bit heavier than the old one (which was specially selected for its ultra lightness) but still manageable, I expected it to seem heavier and was pleasantly surprised!
