Safety

  • Both brakes should be locked in parking mode before you use the seat.
  • Before you start walking with the Walker, make sure it’s completely unfolded.
  • Be extra careful in steep terrain and on slanting ground.
  • The stability of the Veloped is tested with a basket load of 5 kg. If you load additional weight to the basket, make sure to distribute the weight evenly in the basket.

First Time Use

1. To unfold the Walker, pull the two hand grips away from each other.

2. Grab the right grip with your right hand and lift the right front- and right rear wheel off the ground. With the right wheels lifted, lock the Walker in Walking mode by pressing the left rear corner of the seat distinctly downwards. You should hear a “click” when the Walker locks into walking mode.

3. Before using the walker, make sure that the unfolding mechanism has locked securely in place.

NOTE: It is important that you lift the right wheels off the ground, so that the right front wheel freely can turn into its aligned position.

4. Open the quick-release levers and adjust the grip height as described on page 7 in the chapter “Grip Height Adjustment”.

Motion Brake

Motion Brake

To operate the motion brake, pull the brake lever upwards. Brake with both levers at the same time.

Parking Brake

You can engage the parking brake in 3 different ways.

Option 1: Push the lower red parking trigger downwards with your index finger, while you pull the brake lever at the same time. Make sure that the parking brake is engaged, and that the Veloped does not move.

Option 2: Pull the upper red parking trigger rearwards with your thumb, while you pull the brake lever at the same time. Make sure that the parking brake is engaged.

Option 3: Use both hands. Pull the upper red parking trigger rearwards with one hand, while you pull the brake lever with your other hand. Make sure that the parking brake is engaged.

To release the parking brake, brake in the same manner as for using the motion brake.

Grip Height Adjustment

1. Release the quick-release lever positioned just above the seat by folding it outwards horizontally.

2. Slide the hand grip up-/downwards to your preferred grip height.

3. Lock the hand grip at the chosen height by folding the quick-release lever to its closed position.

NOTE: Do not operate the quick-release levers like wing nuts or screws.

Grip Angle Adjustment

The angle of the grips can be adjusted so that you get a comfortable hand position and an optimal support.

1. Loosen the screw on the rear end of the grip with a 4 mm Allen key.

2. Turn/rotate the grip to your chosen angle, and lock it in place by tightening the screw again.

Folding the Rollator

1. Grab the seat handle and pull it upwards and the Walker will start folding.

2.Grab the right grip with your right hand and lift the right front- and right rear wheel off the ground.

NOTE! Always engage both parking brakes before you use the seat.

Detaching the Front Wheels

1. Open the quick-release on the front wheel by folding it outwards.

2. Unscrew the nut on the inside of the fork a bit, so that the wheel can be detached from the fork.

3. Remove the front wheel from the fork.

4. NOTE: Do not operate the quick-release levers like wing nuts or screws.

Attaching the Front Wheels

1. Enter the front wheel into the fork, with the quick-release lever positioned on the outside of the Walker.

2. Tighten the nut on the inside of the fork, so that the quick-release gets correctly tensioned when closed.

3. Close the quick-release on the front wheel by folding it inwards. Make sure that the quick-release lever is correctly closed, preferably in a position behind the fork when seen in the traveling direction of the Walker.

4. NOTE: Do not operate the quick-release levers like wing nuts or screws.

Removing/Installing the Rear Wheels

1. To detach the wheel, press the black button at the centre of the wheel and pull the wheel off.

2. To attach the wheel, press the black button at the centre of the wheel and push the wheel axle into the axle hole. Release the button when the axle is in its end position.

3. Hold the tire and push/pull the wheel back and forth laterally to check if the wheel is properly secured.

Brake Adjustment

1. If the brakes work poorly, loosen the adjustment screw on each brake lever (counter-clockwise) and lock it in position by screwing the lock-nut towards the handle (clockwise).

Contact your retailer, or the person responsible for servicing your Trionic Walker, if the brakes still work poorly.

Air Pressure

Customer Reviews

Dr P Hambleton
Great product, great service.
As always with Trionic, I had great response to an inquiry about a replacement part for my Trionic rollator. I got a prompt response to my inquiry, quick identification of the part needed and immediate delivery. Great company, great products.
Robert Gardiner
A life changer!
An absolute life changer, it’s brilliant!
The only downside was the strap which we broke the first time out, but that was not the fault of the walker!!!
Monika Voltmer
No clattering noises
I'm really happy with it, I can go for walks on uneven terrain again without any clattering noises, the pneumatic tyres are great. I would recommend the rollator to anyone.
Fiona Shaw
Fantastic
I am very pleased with this product. Walking on uneven surfaces is much easier.
K.L.
Finally a stable rollator
Finally a stable rollator that is big enough, doesn't get stuck everywhere and has good brakes. My husband is relieved and enjoys walking more safely with it. Unfortunately, he has fallen several times with previous standard rollators, e.g. getting stuck in a gully. That won't happen with the Trionic, and bumps and other small obstacles are no longer a problem. Now I no longer need to worry so much.
Lyn Bell
Walker 12er
Excellent design and build. Very easy to adapt handgrips angles and height for maximum comfort and tailored "fit".
Handles superbly, especially over uneven surfaces. The seat is comfortable to sit on and slides horizontally along the frame so that the walking area is not impeded by it.
Very easy to "fold" down and will stand up by itself when folded!
Although neither heavy nor difficult to put into the boot of a hatchback car, it is quickest and easiest to do so if one of the rear seats is also folded down.
I have both a Veloped Tour and the Walker 12er. The former is ideal for rough terrain but too wide for some doorways. On the other hand, the Walker is ideal for negotiating doorways and indoor use: it also copes well with rough terrain, but not as magnificently as does the Veloped Tour.
I cannot imagine life without either my Tour and Walker. They have transformed my quality of life by allowing me to walk in comfort again.

DEFINITE GAMECHANGER
This walker is perfect for my height, my previous NHS rollator was too low down, being as this one can be adjusted to your correct level, I no longer get such an aching back, which in turn means I can walk further comfortably. The steering is much more controllable and the brakes are excellent. Worth every penny.
Valerie Hawes
I am very satisfied
I am very satisfied with the Trionic which I use everyday, both on ordinary roads, across fields, through woods, along paths with bumps and roots and so on, and it does its work with ease.
Ludlow Lass
Brilliant walker
Can’t believe that this walker has made such a difference to my life. I can walk over uneven ground, cobblestone paths and rough ground without needing to push any harder than on even terrain, thus avoiding painful arms and shoulders. The walker is really smart and sturdy in appearance and the seat is really useful. It gets lots of positive comments. I can now walk in my town much easier than previously. Many thanks to the Trionic team.
Paul Burghardt
Super rollator
Very nice model, smooth-running and robust.
Problem-free and fast delivery with good communication.
Recommended.
Thank you
Jürgen
I am absolutely thrilled with my Walker 12er.
I am absolutely thrilled with my Walker 12er. A fantastic finish, a modern design. It has attracted a lot of attention both in public places and on the Underground, attracting praise and appreciation for both its appearance and workmanship, thus confirming my choice, my decision for the Walker 12er.
Werner Fecker
Super article
We are absolutely satisfied.
The rollator is really exclusive.
You don't feel as if you are using a "walking aid". We are often asked how great it looks, not as "rickety" as all the others you get.
And it is nice and light.
We are happy to recommend the Trionic.
Gerhard Binder
Great Walker
Very stable 12-inch walker.
Folding it, especially in the tram, is not easy.
I go to a day centre in Vienna and do a lot of advertising.

Walker 12-inch wheels.
I have had my Walker for about 6 weeks. I am delighted with it. It is very well made, sturdy, folds well for putting into the car for transport and is not too heavy. The service I have received is excellent. I had major spinal surgery for cancer and this resulted in mobility problems.

I also suffer from osteoporosis and have several fractured vertebrae which result in back pain. The Walker smooths out any rough surfaces, so this reduces back pain, and I can walk
further.

I wanted an all-terrain rollator and researched the market, eventually selecting the Trionic 12er. The design and construction are impressive, and I have been very pleased with the functionality of the product. Expensive, but very good for my purposes.

Happy Customer
A little bulky at times but I am a happy customer.

Buying a ROLLATOR
Did a brochure request which arrived promptly from Sweden - why can’t local companies manage this!

Realised I would be a questionable size in terms of fitting their machines. So I rang and got through almost immediately and had an extremely informative conversation.
I was surprised and delighted to discover that returns were FREE! So decided to take the chance of trying it out.

Got a rapid free delivery (a couple of days, literally) to my door.
Well, it is everything I wanted. The Walker 12er is SIMPLY TREMENDOUS on several counts.

Build quality - Solid, quality finishes 10-year guarantee
Design - clever sorting of wheel sync issues
Performance & functionality - ergonomic grip choices
Ease of use - really good brakes

Beats anything I have seen here into a cocked hat of mundane, lazily designed not very well made lumps of tat. It also looks good, oozes quality.
The only small constructive criticism I have (the answer may well be in the pipeline) is unlike its bigger brother the 4x4 version of the Veloped there is no storage cover available yet.
I have to say the whole experience from start to receipt has been that rare thing with sales & customer service these days - a DELIGHT.
From one extremely happy user.

Fabulous buy
Extremely efficient. Easy to order, delivered within the week. Informative online chat with a query. It’s given my husband independence. A really great piece of equipment. Money well spent. Thanks so much.

The Walker 12er is great for my mother (94 years old)
The Walker 12er is great for my mother (94 years old), she can get around in her large garden (3,000 m²) very easily.

A suggestion for improvement: The parking brakes are difficult/complicated to use for older people. As with other walking aid, it would be better to have a solution where the brake levers only must be pressed down to lock them.
Peter Finley
Walker 12''
Exactly what I have been looking for. Exceptional build quality. The larger pneumatic tyres make it so easy and comfortable to walk with.
David Greysmith
Wishing you a happy new year and partly thanking you for my Trionic 12er.
The delivery was remarkably fast, the packaging was beautifully designed and the 12er is perfect for my needs. I actually managed to get down to the beach to test it on sand and am very happy with the result. In addition, it is so quiet on all surfaces.

All in all, both the product and the service you offer are excellent and with the 12 I have the freedom to get around.

Many thanks again. Continue the good work!
Wim Müller
Sure-footed off-road
In addition to my Veloped, with which I have been traveling around cities and over rough terrain for a few years, I now also have a Trionic Walker that goes off-road. Excellent workmanship, very stable and inimitable thanks to the pneumatic tires. Very good drum brakes. The only flaw: the brakes are difficult to lock. You must tighten a lot so that the brake lever can snap into place.
David McCleave
THE best
All round great/ fantastic unit. Easy to use, and gets around shops etc with very good manoeuvring. Folds up small. Very happy. I find it's pretty good off-road too.

I also have a three-wheel Trionic Veloped 14er which is more stable and tougher and better off-road, and the kerb climbing wheels work very well. But the 3 wheeler is bigger and heavier and a bit of struggle to load it into the car and takes up a lot of space in a small car.

Both are fantastic.
Silvia Hennig-Klein
Rollator Walker 12er
Good morning, at first I ordered the Walker 14er, but this rollator with the large tires is much too big to be transported in my Opel Mokka. Now I use the Walker 12er and I am very happy with it.
Peter Schneider
I hear a lot of praise for the device from the user for whom I bought the walker.
However, there seems to be improvement potential on the brakes:

- The strength required to lock the device it is clearly too high for very old people.

- The (usually) independent actuation of the two brakes overwhelms people with restricted coordination and/or asymmetry. Much better would be a brake that can be operated with just one handle, which works equally (!) on both sides.
Juergen Tacke
Trionic Walker
My father struggles to move. With the Walker he has now the best rollator on the market and can move safely on any surface. The Walker looks very beautiful, it is superbly manufactured and Mr. Kindberg's service is exemplary.
Allan Delaubenfels
Absolutely amazing service to the needs of the mobility challenged!
To me, the most amazing thing about the Trionic company is that the inventor of Trionic products (the Veloped and the Walker), Stefan Kindberg, is so available to serve the customers for these remarkable devices. He personally sees to it that they are built to his standards of design and quality. We can contact the Trionic.web site and Stefan himself is likely to respond with helpful advice. He may personally check to see that they are packed and shipped so that they will arrive quickly and in perfect condition. Almost as amazing is that Stefan, who lives Sweden where the walker/rollator was invented, is an engineer and had a vision of how the walker/rollator could be improved to assist real walking in the outdoors. The Veloped, and now the Walker, are the result of years of work on this vision. Can you imagine better service to the needs of customers like us? I have purchased five different walker/rollators, each time thinking that I had found the best which is available. I have spent over $3000 USD doing that. In the process, I have learned that the Veloped is truly the best way to get the support I need while walking out of doors. My Veloped is now two years old and I have just purchased a new Trionic 12er Walker. The 12er Walker will not replace the Veloped but it will give me very nearly the same level of support at the end trips in my car. The Walker is clearly easier to load in the car. Trionic walker/rollators are more expensive. However, they are unmatched in quality of design and construction. The competition is not even close. After all, keeping mobile when our mobility is challenged is worth a very lot. I feel so very fortunate that there are walker/rollators available of this quality. Trionic walker/rollators seem to glide over even rough surfaces, they make no distracting sounds, they have nothing to kick or trip over, their brakes really work when you need them and most of the time I hardly even notice them because they are doing their job so well. The way Trionic walker/rollators are designed, many repairs could be done by most bicycle shops. But the quality of construction is such that repair may not be needed for many, many years. The Veloped AND the Walker together with the outstanding service provided by Trionic have my most enthusiastic recommendations.
Peter Hedley
Peter Hedley. U K greatest fan.
I have been a fan of Trionic Veloped for several years. I played too much football and squash as a young man and now have replacement knees and a right hip. The Veloped has given me great mobility by helping me take more of my body weight on my upper body and off my damaged hips and knees. We have been to the U S A, Barbados,Russia, and all over the Mediterranean together and wetted our feet and wheels in the Atlantic, the Baltic, and the Med. I could have sold a dozen machines and have demonstrated mine to lots and lots of people.
