- loosen the red seat handle on both sides by pulling it out of the key ring (use a flat-blade screwdriver to help) and then pull it out of the seat
- loosen the old pushbuttons and remove the seat
- Install the new seat and fasten all push buttons
- mount the red seat handle (push it down through the seat with a narrow flat screwdriver) and thread it into the key rings

Love this product
Feels much safer outdoors in the winter than any other walker I know of. It is solid, reliable, and comfortable. The only flaw is that it is kind of wide and difficult to navigate in restaurants with narrow entrances and in small restrooms.
